about the project

Kuba, the leading transport ticketing company with solutions in over 100 cities, commissioned us to create a video celebrating their recent achievement of Level 2 BBBEE (Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment) certification, specifically targeting the South African market.

Our Approach

We opted for a contemporary cut-out visual style, utilizing Kuba’s vibrant colour palette. Blending photography, graphics, text, and colour would give us a stylish and bold approach that appealed to a diverse audience and felt contemporary, natural, and organic.

The style also helped establish a distinctive visual language for Kuba, adaptable for other communication tools. Additionally, it allowed the seamless integration of some of the client’s images with stock photography and other content sources. To enhance relevance, we included some subtle South African patterns, textures, and shapes in the design.
